Smooth brush.
Using SHIFT while sculpting is practically automatic. We use it very often. To develop this automatism, you need to properly teach your hands what to do. More specifically, the little finger of the left hand.
The Smooth brush functions on its own in the blender menu, but we usually use it when we have another brush turned on, switching in the middle by holding SHIFT when we want to smooth the surface. The easiest way to set its strength is by using a shortcut or selecting the Right Mouse Button from the menu. From Strength posts. Brush power. and Radius size. Brush size, learn more about shortcuts and how to use them.
The Smooth brush smooths the mesh beautifully.
We activate it by holding down on the keyboard “SHIFT”, it is worth to practice it by pressing it from the beginning with the little finger of the left hand.
Shortly, as standard, each of the fingers with the QWERTY keyboard layout (the most popular), certain fingers of both hands feel best on the combination of FDSA (left hand) and JKL: (right hand) buttons, there is a protrusion on the F and J buttons as standard, which, closing the eyes without looking allows us to quickly find a key with a finger, and easily find ourselves on the keyboard without looking.
For smoothing while sculpting, we also use the Mesh Filter tool available in Sculpt Mode in the Smooth option, a great tool. You can also use the smooth modifier. As usual, there are many roads.
I don’t want to complicate things at this stage, it will be time to delve into the world of modifiers and mesh filter.
